NEW Cordless PTT-Adapter (Push-To-Talk), Model CA12CD-S: CA12CD-S 92900-01 begins shipping in early November 2014 and replaces the existing CA12CD 92500-01 as a direct replacement. All models in the product portfolio will be upgraded and the current CA12CD variants will be discontinued. Due to technology upgrades, the Remote and Base units from the old CA12CD will not pair with those from the CA12CD-S. In addition to identifying the new units by the change to the model number, the new CA12CD-S also features visual identification by means of grey buttons on the Remote and Base units.

The Plantronics CA12CD-S is a cordless PTT (push-to-talk) headset adapter designed to provide encrypted communications and PTT functionality for applications such as Public Safety Dispatch and Air Traffic Control.

The Plantronics CA12CD-S uses digital processing (DECT standard) and operates in the UPCS band (1.92 – 1.93 GHz) in North America. The versions for Europe operate within the DECT (1.88 – 1.90 GHz) frequency range.

CA12CD-S Features:

• Digital (DECT™) technology operating in the 1.9GHz radio band provides superior voice clarity and security.
• Work with Plantronics H Series Corded Headsets (example: H41,H81N, H251N etc.).
• Operates in the UPCS band (1.92 - 1.93 GHz) in North America

• Robust PTT switch with selectable locking/non-Locking operational modes.
• Two charging wells; one for the remote unit while the other facilitates charging the extra battery pack (supplied with unit).
• Lithium-Ion battery packs provide longer talk time (approximately 8 hours) and faster recharge rates
